Important Message from Dr. Arjun Kachhala (Practice Owner)
To all Friends of Kenilworth Dental Practice
(or ‘KDP’ as we call ourselves)
KDP Covid Update - Monday November 2nd
Dear Friends of KDP,
Welcome to the latest Covid update!
Following on from the Prime Minister’s announcement on Saturday 31st October, I thought it would be helpful to provide some clarity.
Dental appointments are exempt and are not affected by the latest lockdown.
Dental care will continue nationwide, so there is no requirement to cancel appointments or to suffer needlessly from toothache.
We will remain (safely) open as usual, for all routine as well as emergency care, as we have been since July.
Safeguarding your oral health by attending routine healthcare appointments, including Hygienist and Checks up appointments, will ensure that potential problems such as Periodontal (gum) disease, Oral Cancer and Tooth decay are not being missed or stored up.
We perform screening for all of these at every dental appointment.
Toothache? Broken Filling?
Please don’t suffer needlessly from toothache, broken fillings, swellings, abscesses or sore gums-we will always try our best to see you as soon as we can fit you in.
No matter the dental problem please don’t hesitate to call us during our opening hours.
Our Approach to Safety:
Since we reopened in July, we’ve operated safer than ever, with all the correct PPE, policies and procedures in place.
You can be confident that you’ll be able to continue accessing all our services in a very safe environment.
Feedback on our approach to safety has been excellent.
Here are some examples of our unique, minimal risk approach:
1. By choice, our waiting room has not been in use since March
Instead, for safety, we’ve carefully staggered all appointment times to ensure that people are never at risk of arriving or leaving simultaneously.
You’ll always be greeted in person by one of our team members, who’ll only ever allow entry or exit of one person at a time.
2. All patients are screened at least twice before attending for an appointment. Our team are screened and checked daily upon arrival.
3. We only accept patients with prebooked appointments
So, as the Prime Minister and the BDA advises, you should continue to confidently attend appointments for (medical &) dental reasons.
Don’t hesitate to call us if you have any specific queries or concerns.
T: 01926 512 747
We’re open Monday to Thursday 9-5.30 & Fridays 8.15 to 3.45
We look forward to continuing to serve you all!
Keep Smiling! Don’t let fear dictate your lives and, please, stay safe.
