Important Message from Dr. Arjun Kachhala (Practice Owner)

To all Friends of Kenilworth Dental Practice
(or ‘KDP’ as we call ourselves)

Update – Winter/Spring 2021-2022

Dear Friends of KDP, we’re open as normal and providing all services including: General NHS and Private dental care, all Check-ups, all Hygienist appointments, Invisalign Teeth Straightening, Dental Implants and Teeth Whitening!

We also have great news-Despite strict safety protocols remaining in place, we’ve successfully added appointment capacity over the course of 2021

We’re delighted to report that we now have plenty of spaces available for all EXISTING and NEW patients with virtually no waiting list!

Are You Overdue a Dental Check-up or Hygiene Appointment?

Was your last dental check-up or hygiene appointment cancelled between March and September 2020, during the first wave of the Pandemic?

Perhaps you’re an existing patient and you’ve been patiently waiting to be contacted by us with a new appointment date?

Regular dental check-ups can help to detect problems at a much earlier stage such as oral cancer, gum disease or tooth decay

Since we reopened in July 2020, each day our fantastic team have been diligently working through the long list of people who sadly had to be cancelled during the very early stages of the pandemic in 2020, but as there are literally thousands on the list it will take us some time yet to contact everyone!

So, to safeguard your oral health, instead of waiting for a call from us, if you’ve not been seen for a regular check-up or hygiene appointment since before the pandemic or if you’re in pain we urge you to call us instead and book in today

Are you in Pain? Toothache? Broken Filling? Emergency?

Please don’t suffer needlessly from toothache, broken fillings, swellings, abscesses or sore gums-we will always try our best to see you as soon as we can fit you in.

No matter the dental problem please don’t hesitate to call us during our opening hours.

Our Approach to Safety:

Since reopening in July 2020, we’ve operated safer than ever, with all the correct PPE, policies and procedures in place.

You can be confident that you’ll be able to continue accessing all our services in a very safe environment.

Feedback on our approach to safety has been excellent.

Here are some examples of our unique, minimal risk approach:

1. Although we’re fully open, our waiting room remains out of use for your safety

2. Whenever you book an appointment, our team will explain what to do on the day when you arrive for your appointment, how to ‘check-in’ and where to wait

3. We’ve painstakingly staggered all appointment times to ensure that people are never at risk of arriving or leaving simultaneously

4. You’ll always be greeted in person by one of our team members, and they’ll only ever allow entry or exit of one person at a time

5. All patients are screened at least twice before attending for any appointment

6. Our team are screened and checked daily upon arrival

7. We only accept patients with pre-booked appointments

We’re proud of our approach to safety and while it may mean that there is a short wait upon arrival, you can continue to confidently attend all dental appointments at KDP

Don’t hesitate to call us if you have any specific queries or concerns and… please don’t forget to wear a mask.

Importance of Attending Appointments:

Safeguarding your oral health by attending regular dental appointments, including Hygienist and Check-up appointments, will ensure that potential problems such as Periodontal (gum) disease, Oral Cancer and Tooth decay are not getting worse or being missed.

We perform screening for all of these at every dental appointment.
